We’re still building: an update on the latest lockdown

A message from Sarah Barraclough, our Managing Director

“In light of the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday (4th January) that the UK is to enter a third lockdown, I wanted to update you on what this means for Skipton Properties’ workforce, our visitors and our customers.

The Government has given the go ahead for the construction industry to remain open, and therefore building work will continue at our sites. The housing market can also continue to operate, with prospective buyers permitted to attend viewings, and therefore our Sales Offices will remain open on an appointment-only basis, as before.

“We already have robust safety, hygiene and social distancing protocols and working practices in action across our construction sites and Sales Offices, so are well-placed for business to be able to continue more or less as usual. We are working hard to keep our build programmes on schedule for customers already in the process of buying a home from us. For prospective customers, virtual tours, telephone appointments and unaccompanied viewings are all available – if you have any queries or concerns, please speak to our Sales Advisors and they will do all they can to accommodate you.

“As always, the health of our team, their families, our customers and visitors, and protecting the NHS, remains our priority. We will continue to do everything we can to keep our workforce, our customers and our community safe whilst doing what we do best: building.”
