The Sycamores’ location, adjacent to a conservation area and in a beautiful rural setting, is very special, so we’ve sympathetically designed our homes to resemble a country hamlet. Our architecture honours the vernacular of the existing agricultural buildings and neighbouring homes, some of which are hundreds of years old. Each home is unique and has been thoughtfully designed to ensure that the development is pleasing to look at from every angle. We will use our trademark local stone and slate, with stone surrounds and mullions for doors and windows, and include some stone boundary walls that flow along the perimeter as the site slopes gently uphill.
The focal point and namesake for the development is the ancient Sycamore tree that sits on its eastern edge, adjoining Bell Busk Lane. The tree will be surrounded by an elevated green area for all residents to enjoy and the homes, many named after trees themselves, wrap around this in turn.
