Recently, our Marketing Manager, Vanessa, paid a visit to the new communal gardens in Foulridge, where she met with parish council members and locals who poured their hearts out about the area’s history.
A blighted allotment area had become a bit of a dumping ground. But hope was not lost. In a stunning display of determination, the community banded together and transformed the space into a breathtaking communal garden that locals now love. As one delighted resident put it, “It’s amazing to see so many people sitting, listening to the birds, and harvesting the fruit we’ve grown. For those without their own gardens, this sanctuary is truly priceless.” It’s an inspiring story of the transformative power of community action and something we wanted to encourage. They couldn’t source the funding to buy a new tree, so we’ve ordered one for them .
