The Homes and Communities Agency announced on the 23rd November 2009 that the increasingly popular Government backed shared equity scheme, HomeBuy Direct has been extended until September 2010. The scheme was due to expire in March 2010 but due to unprecedented demand, prospective purchasers were given additional time to go through the approval process and find a suitable property. The extended deadline is now looming so purchasers need to be quick to reserve a home before the scheme lapses.
